The two milestones come hot on the heels of the opening of the company’s newest outlet at Deira City Centre; the 41st in the UAE and the 7,200th in the worldwide Dunkin’ Donuts chain.
Dunkin’ Donuts General Manager, Mr. David Rodgers, believes that the twin achievements confirm the success of the brand across the UAE; a brand that has become synonymous with high quality coffee and baked goods and sells a range of pastries, donuts and beverages; which include; coolattas, iced lattes and fruit smoothies. ‘Ever since we opened our first restaurant in Dubai in May 1997, we have enjoyed huge success throughout the emirates,’ he says. ‘We’ve found that customers in this part of the world are very discerning and insist on premium quality. All our coffee comes from selected beans, which has meant that we have a justifiable reputation for brewing the highest grade gourmet coffee,’ he adds.
Mr. Rodgers attributes brisk business at the Dunkin’ Donuts outlets for the company’s success in reaching its tenth anniversary and the milestone figure for coffees brewed.
‘The numbers of coffees that we calculated had been served soon started to add up, as we have been able to enjoy rapid expansion as a result of our popularity over the last ten years,’ he says. ‘Since 1997, we have opened over forty outlets and will have reached fifty by the end of the year,’ he adds.
There is a good chance that this special cup will be served at Dunkin’ Donuts Deira City Centre outlet, which opened for business this month. ‘Our newest store is likely to be one of our busiest, as Deira City Centre is one of the most popular malls in Dubai,’ says Mr. Rodgers. ‘We anticipate a brisk trade with hungry shoppers keen to refresh themselves with a coffee and a donut and there’s a very good chance that our ten millionth cup will be served up to a customer in this latest addition to the Dunkin’ Donuts chain,’ he concludes.
