100% Parry Kona at Costco

I found this post on Google Groups and thought I post it.

Browsing the coffee/tea aisle at Costco turned up bags of 100% Kona from Parry Farms (Gold Coffee Company), $23 for 40oz. Seemed like a good price so I picked up a bag. It’s a Full City++ & it smells great. I cleaned out the Mazzer & poured in the Kona and ground enough for my Silex vac pot. It takes a very good, clean tasting, cup of coffee, as good as any other Kona I’ve ever tasted (and a whole lot better than the Jam Blue Mtn my neighbor raves about).

I don’t normally buy preroasted (goes flat too fast) or Kona (too pricey for this country boy), but my church is having a fund raising bazaar & I’ve been asked to provide the coffee (at my expense of course, the pastor knows I love to show off my coffee skills). Normally I’d buy the Ruta Maya coffee that Costco stocks (if you buy preroasted I highly recommend these folks in Austin, TX @ www.rutamaya.net), but they normally only have the Kona blend so I thought I’d give this normally hard to find coffee a try.
